Hi, readers! I'm a sucker for a secret baby book, but I wanted this to be a little bit different. So it's kind of a secret-pregnancy book! I loved writing Vanessa and Mat's love story, loved re-visiting the Double Diamond ranch and the small Texas town from the first Texas Girl book. I loved seeing them begin the story in broken places but find a way to heal and fall in love again. I hope you love reading the book as much as I loved bringing it to life!Happy reading!Kristina

Texas Girl 2

A follow-in to Kristina Knight's first book, "What a Texas Girl Wants," this book tells Vanessa's story. She returns to her father's Texas ranch to confront Matias Barnes, the ranch foreman. He was the one-night-stand she had after her sister's wedding--and he's the father of the baby she just found out she's carrying. The ranch is the place where some of her only happy childhood memories were formed but it's also where she feels out of place. But then, she feels out of place everywhere. Her ex-husband took all their friends when he left; she hates the huge house she got in the divorce and she can't ride a horse to save her soul.
It takes a bull sale, half the book and more scorching looks than you can count for her to finally come to terms with her feelings for Mat and to tell him he's about to be a daddy. But the secrets he's hiding make him less than open and honest with her about anything except wanting her. They struggle to make the relationship work but finally find what they both need in a satisfying end to the story.
I love Knight's way with words. Her deft characterizations and descriptions clog the reader's throat with Texas dust and clutch at the heart as you root for the couple to find their happyily-ever-after. Sure hope there are more Texas girls on the way!

Need is better than want...

In real life and in Kristina Knight's Texas world. I loved this story of a poor little rich girl, trying to find her way. And what a great twist on her own Prince Charming. I rooted for Vanessa to find her happy ever after, especially, when she found out that what she had wasn't real or what she needed.
Knight has a winner on her hands with this sister book. Can't wait for the third in the series.

Great follow up

really enjoyed this book and it was a great follow up to what a Texas girl wants. only complaint was it ended really fast. oh and the editing on this wasn't up to the usual crimson standard
