Still shaking my head

Was recommended by a potential employer during a job interview. Takeaways: only those under 30 can be go-getters, it's ok to mess with employees to "test" them, and poor planning and communication are normal and acceptable. Tenacity is valued beyond reason.

The stuff men are made of!

Sadly the dedication of Mr. Peck in our story is no longer instilled in those in today's workforce. If workers would have half of the desire demonstrated here to get the job done instead of the bare minimum, our economy would be ten times better than it is.
I have read this account many times in the past 20 years and it never fails to encourage me to strive to do my best. Mr. Kyne shows us what we can do, if necessary, to succeed in all we put our minds to do!

The Go-Getter

I purchased this book because it was recommended to me when I asked for inspiring book to help me be a little more proactive in life. It is an ok book in that it tells the story of a man who is the definition of a go-getter (which is what I was looking for), but it was hard for me to get into it. It was good, not great. It was hard for me to relate to it, but I definitely got the message-it shall get done. Short read with a great message.
